Aunque Naciera en la Luna (Even If I Had Been Born on the Moon)

As a Puerto Rican there is a deep sense of identity and pride that comes along with it, no matter where life takes you. It is ingrained deep inside of you. The "pava" hat of the jibaro and blend of cultures shown through music and our culture.

Boricua en la Luna by Fiel a la Vega is a song that not only talks about the diaspora of Puerto Ricans, which as a young artist I experienced after Hurricane Maria, but also about hardships and pride. This piece was an inspiration for my later work, Mancha de Platano (my thesis 2021).
